Lately I've been practicing really hard because I am serving as an accompanist for our high school's choirs. There are several events coming up, one being Large Group Contest. The pieces of music are more challenging than the other ones I've accompanied. As they should be since it's for contest. But the first time I rehearsed with the choir, I felt a bit embarrassed by the number of mistakes I made. I made sure to practice a lot more and the second rehearsal went much better. I will definitely be practicing more before Wednesday's performance. Accompanying for choir is always something I thought I would enjoy. In fact I wouldn't mind doing that every day, being there for daily rehearsals. However, since I also really enjoy my preschool job and the sub days I get, it isn't really possible. Maybe I can save that for years down the road.
